MISSION & VALUES

Mission Statement

Restoration Church Wittenberg/Birnamwood exists to glorify God by making disciples of Jesus Christ, who make disciples of all the nations.

Core Values

WORSHIP

We seek to enjoy God as our supreme treasure in our daily living.

“You make known to me the path of life; in your presence there is fullness of joy; at your right hand are pleasures forevermore.”

-Psalms 16:11

GOSPEL URGENCY

We rejoice in the Good News of Jesus Christ that compels us to share the gospel with our neighbors.

“But you are a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people for his own possession, that you may proclaim the excellencies of him who called you out of darkness into his marvelous light.”

-1 Peter 2:9

UNCEASING PRAYER

We acknowledge our complete dependence on the Lord to accomplish anything He has called us to do.

“Be joyful in hope, patient in affliction, faithful in prayer.”

-Romans 12:12

“And this is the confidence that we have toward him, that if we ask anything according to his will he hears us.”

-1 John 5:14

GOD’S WORD

We declare and yield to the authority of God’s Word without apology and with great joy.

“All Scripture is breathed out by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness.”

-2 Timothy 3:16

GENUINE COMMUNITY

We strive to live in humble and honest community with one another, which is the context for gospel formation.

“Live in harmony with one another. Do not be proud, but be willing to associate with people of low position. Do not be conceited.”

-Romans 12:16

“Dear friends, since God so loved us, we also ought to love one another.”

-1 John 4:11

KINGDOM MULTIPLICATION

We pursue the advancement of the gospel through the equipping and commissioning of the saints for the work of ministry in our communities and abroad.

“Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age.”

-Matthew 28:19-20
